It was too surreal exploring this iceberg which was grounded just outside St. John's Harbour. Took this picture on the way back from a local boat tour (Iceberg Quest Tours) at sunset. This berg has drifted in for a few days and then out to Fresh Water Bay on the fourth day. If you have not watch an iceberg up close and personal at a safe distance, a boat tour is a must. In this picture, the city landmark Cabot Tower and Signal Hill appeared as a silhouette while the iceberg snowy color was toned down to a much paler shade under the setting sun.
